the common cold and permanent goodbyes
I hate being sick. I feel like such an invalid. It's miserable to feel stuffy, with that annoying dull throbbing that is never quite there, but definitely never gone. Not to mention the gross pile of tissues by my bed. Yes, I'm a classy girl. Hopefully I'll get well soon enough. I really wanted to go try and donate plasma for the first time next week, but I can't if I'm not feeling well. Blah. That sucks. The only condolence is Zorro who is an absolute doll and has not left my side since last night. He's been curled up next to me, or sleeping on my chest all day. It's a small comfort, but nice to know that something loves me at the moment when I'm sick and don't have my mom to tend to me (dorky, yes. But whatever.)
On a less mopey note though, yesterday was graduation for several of my friends. I went with my roommate and her family/friends to see her graduate. The ceremony was nice, and FAST. I was amazed that they got through about 1000 people in 2 hours flat. and that was including the doctoral students who were graduating.
I sat next to Jeff, which was enjoyable. He is such a nice, funny guy and it was so great to have the opportunity to sit and talk to him for an extended period of time. I am certainly no longer interested, just really sad that I know that it'll never amount to more than a casual acquaintance. Because he would be a pretty great friend.
